The Ruth Beall Society

Donors make a difference by impacting the work and mission of Arkansas Children's Foundation with their support.

Ruth Olive Beall worked tirelessly to improve conditions and care for children as the second superintendent of the Arkansas Children's Home and Hospital. It was her mandate that no child was ever turned away, regardless of their family's ability to pay. Because of philanthropy, this mandate still exists today and it will continue for generations to come.

For more than 100 years, Arkansas Children's mission has been advanced by the kindness of countless friends who have remembered us in their estate plans. These investments have allowed Arkansas Children's to grow into a state-wide pediatric health system conducting world-class research and providing complex care to our children. We honor the significant investments made by those individuals and families by including them in the Ruth Beall Society.

The following commitments qualify you for membership in the Ruth Beall Society:

  • A bequest provision in your will or trust
  • A life-income gift that names Arkansas Children's as a remainder beneficiary, such as a Charitable Remainder Trust or a Charitable Gift Annuity
  • A Charitable Lead Trust that provides income to the Hospital for a donor's lifetime or term
  • A gift or assignment of qualified retirement assets, such as an IRA, 401(k) or 403(b)
  • A gift of life insurance
  • Other planned gift arrangements

As a member of the Ruth Beall Society, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you are helping Arkansas Children's fundamentally transform healthcare delivery for the children of Arkansas and beyond. You will be recognized as a member of the Ruth Beall Society on the Donor Wall in the lobbies of Arkansas Children's Hospital and Arkansas Children's Northwest (unless anonymity is preferred). You'll receive a special gift celebrating your commitment to Arkansas Children's, a subscription to our bi-monthly publication, and invitations to special events presented by Arkansas Children's.
